History

Since its modest beginning in 1969, with the encouragement of the Singapore Government, the Company started one of the first productions of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin in S.E. Asia, for use in the infrastructure development of the region. For about 32 years, SPC has experienced dynamic growth. Effective October 2001 Singapore Polymer Corporation was acquired by Teknor Apex Company, a US-based company with headquarters in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

Today, with fully automated and computerized production facilities and a sophisticated technical center, the Company has grown into major global thermoplastic compounder producing over 70,000 metric tons per annum. SPC offers a full product range of compounded thermoplastics for the growing demands of the region.

Our pursuit to be a trans-regional player has resulted in a number of strategic collaborations. In addition, the rigorous quality-control program that we have embarked on, have placed us in an ideal position to be a major producer of thermoplastic products in the 21st century.
